What equipment do you need for cutting tiles to fit? Want to install on wood base on outdoor balcony. Thank you!
When you come up to a wall or object, don’t worry. Just measure the area and cut the tiles with a sharp utility knife and put the trimmed tiles into place. You can also use a large tile cutter.

The tiles interlock into each other. Two sides of the tile will have loops that will interlock into the opposite end.
Was this helpful? Can these tiles be put on dirt?

Was this helpful? We have an area with cement pavers we want to replace. A small patio area outside. Underneath the cement pavers there is just dirt. Do we need to put something for a "base" under these? Gravel? Landscaping material? Or can we just put them over the dirt?
For best results, we recommend placing the tiles over a solid, flat surface such as concrete, but these tiles can be installed virtually anywhere as a temporary solution. Using a material such as crushed or decomposed granite as a base will provide more longevity as it will provide a source of drainage under the tiles. You can, however, install our Naturesort Deck Tiles (4 Slat) directly on the dirt temporarily.
Was this helpful? Can we install these on a flattened dirt ground area and then place an inflatable hot tub on it?
Yes, you may place these tiles over flattened dirt and place the hot tub over them.
