Will the tiles hold up to high temperatures in direct sunlight? July, August, September in Texas can get over 100 degrees and we are looking for flooring options for an outdoor classroom.
Yes, these tiles can handle heat and sunlight. These tiles are made from recycled tires so they are incredibly durable.
Was this helpful?how durable are they against sharp objects (i.e.: high heels)?
It is possible to cut these tiles with a blade or knife. They are made from recycled tires so they react to sharp objects in a similar fashion as a tire would - it is possible, though not easy, to puncture or pierce them.
Was this helpful? Can we install these in the backyard patio? The backyard is east facing but is not covered. Its exposed to elements, so it will get both sun, rain and cold. Thanks for your advise.
Yes. These tiles would be perfect for that application.
Was this helpful? Can the tiles be installed over sand? (Tiles are being installed where pavers were previously). Also, should you use adhesive in between tiles? Or will the locking pieces keep tiles from shifting?
We have had some customers successfully install these tiles over compact sand, however, we recommend installing these tiles over hard surfaces like asphalt or concrete. Using adhesive between the tiles is not necessary when using Quadblok Connectors.
Was this helpful?I am interested in using this flooring in my garage which I am converting to a gym. I would like to be able to pull my car into the garage every now and then. Would the tile be able to handle the car?
You can drive a car on our Jamboree Playground Tiles. These tiles are durable enough to handle the weight of a car. The only thing you will want to be mindful of is if your car drips oil. Oil over time can cause the tiles to breakdown.
Was this helpful? Are you sure that the 2.5” thick tile is only certified for 4 foot fall? I was looking at rubbermulch and their 2” tile they say is ferried for 5 feet fall. Please clarify
These are certified for a 4 foot fall when installed using quadbloks over concrete or asphalt. They are indeed certified for a 5-6 foot fall when installed over a compacted aggregate base, or when installed fully adhered (glued down).
Was this helpful?I have a soggy backyard. Are these tiles suitable for a soggy area? If no, if gravel or sand is added would that help? Unsure if I can install over grass after I put landscape fabric.
These tiles can be installed in soggy areas, they just may have to be cleaned if/when the dirt from underneath gets on them. These can be installed over grass.

You may clean these with water and a mild detergent (non-petroleum base).
Was this helpful?I want to buy these tiles to place under a playground set. It is better to assemble playground and work tiles around or it better to set down tiles and assemble playground on top of them?
It is always better to install the playground set first and then work the tiles around it. Almost all commercial type playgrounds cement the equipment post in first and install the equipment, and then cut the tiles in around the posts.
