How big is the folding crash mat?
The mat is 4 feet wide, 8 feet long, and 8 inches thick, and it weighs about 52 pounds. It folds to a compact size for storage and transport and has reinforced built-in handles for carrying. It is sold as a single mat and comes in blue or black.

It needs a short assembly. The mat ships as a vinyl cover plus two compressed foam pads, like a foam mattress in a box. Lay the cover flat and unzip both ends. Open one foam pad and slide it into one end right away, then zip that end. Do the same with the second pad at the other end. Work fast, because the foam expands as it sits and gets harder to fit. Two people make it much easier. You can use the mat the same day. The foam takes 10 to 14 days to expand fully.
