Was this helpful?I live in Nebraska and in the winter there is a lot of salt and gravel put on the streets in the winter. Does this product hold up to salt and gravel well.
We have sold these rolls all over the US and Canada, and they can withstand salt, sand, water, snow, and ice no problem. These rolls are also resistant to most household and vehicle chemicals. Nitro Rolls are made of soft vinyl, so something sharp could potentially damage/puncture the rolls if sharp enough.

You can use a floor jack over our Nitro Rolls. There is potential for denting, but vinyl has some memory and will bounce back over time.
Was this helpful? Will this flooring protect the cement from running over with winter studded tires? Currently, we are getting scrapes in the cement from turning the steering wheel when the car is not in motion.
If you drive over our Diamond Nitro Rolls with studded tires, you will run the risk of scratching the roll when turning your steering wheel or driving in and out. The good thing about using these as your flooring surface is that if it becomes too damaged, you can just replace the roll. With the cement, you would have to patch it, which could be quite costly if you want to do it right.
Was this helpful? Will the standard Diamond Nitro Roll hold up under a passenger car with studded tires?
Our Diamond Nitro Rolls are very durable but could be damaged by studded tires over time. If your roll were to get damaged, replacing it is a breeze.

Was this helpful?I live in Maine, would this stand up to salt/sand or outside?
Our Diamond Nitro Rolls are very durable and can withstand salt and sand that is put down during the winter. These rolls can also be installed outdoors. They will expand and contract greatly if not adhered down to the subsurface.
Was this helpful? When cutting your Diamond Nitro Roll to fit my garage floor, do I need to leave any space between the product and the walls for expansion? A number of other products I've researched require this due to the heat of the day(especially here in Florida) making their mats expand. Also, do you recommend keeping the entire mat INSIDE the garage, or can it be cut to cover the 6" of the floor that extends outside the garage door, where it will be exposed to direct sunlight, rain, and wind?
We do recommend leaving an expansion gap around our Diamond Nitro Rolls. We recommend at least leaving a 1/4" wide expansion gap around the floor. This will allow the floor to expand and contract during the day. You can leave some of your nitro rolls outside of your garage, but we typically recommend keeping the roll inside of the garage for an easier install and overall better look.
Was this helpful? Will the floor lay flat or will there be bubbles or ripples?
Our Diamond Nitro Rolls after having had time to acclimate, will relax and lay flat. We recommend once receiving them, to unroll them and allow the roll to acclimate for 24 - 48 hours.
Was this helpful?I have compacted dirt flooring in my garage, what kind of foundation does this product need to be applied on?
When installing our Diamond Nitro Rolls, all you need is a hard flat surface to install them over. If your dirt floor is compacted and virtually flat, our Nitro Rolls will install over it easily.
