Will this leave a residue on wood floors? I don't need a subfloor but I also don't want to ruin my wood floor if I tape the marley on it directly. Thanks!
The tape should not leave a residue but in the low chance that it does, you could use a tennis ball to help pull any residue up from the floor.

Yes you can use for that purpose.
Was this helpful? What is dance floor tape used for?
It is a single-sided vinyl tape that goes on top of the seams between dance floor rolls. It hides the seam, covers the expansion gap, and holds two rolls together so the surface feels continuous. Most floors use it with double-sided tape: double-sided around the perimeter underneath, this tape over each seam on top. You can also run it around the perimeter of the floor.

Each roll is 2 inches wide and 108 feet long, and weighs about 2 lbs. To work out how many rolls you need, add up the length of every seam you plan to cover. Add the perimeter too if you are taping that. Divide the total by 108.
Was this helpful? Is this tape permanent, or can I take the floor up later?
It is meant for temporary and semi-permanent floors. The floor can be lifted later if you need to move it to another studio or stage. Paired with double-sided perimeter tape, it will hold a floor in place for several years. Clean the floor and let it dry fully before taping, so the tape grips.
