Description - Nitro Tiles have been engineered to be one of the toughest garage tiles on the market today. Easy to install and maintain, these hard plastic tiles have been engineered to resist staining from oil, gas, and most household chemicals. Constructed with impact-resistant polypropylene plastic makes these tiles capable of withstanding heavy rolling vehicle loads. Featuring the ever so popular tread plate pattern, these tiles are certain to turn any garage from drab to the talk of the town. A 3-year warranty backs our Nitro Tiles.
Note: These tiles can be damaged under the weight of a car jack. We recommend using your car jack directly on concrete or place a plywood board or steel plate under the jack.
If your garage gets a lot of sun, we recommend placing vented tiles at the entrance to provide added stability to the floor.
Nitro tile colors are produced in batches, which can lead to color variations in your order. All colors may present some color variation, Graphite and Gunmetal can produce the most. These colors can vary greatly between batches, and we recommend that you order more flooring than needed for mistakes and replacements. This will give you the greatest chance to keep continuity across your floor. Batching will also affect color variation between samples and your order, with Graphite and Gunmetal showing the most variation.

Nitro interlocking tiles are easy to maintain. Cleaning of these multiuse tiles typically includes:
- Vacuuming or sweeping any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the tiles when necessary.
- Hose off or damp mop the floor tiles with a mild soap and water mixture for tough or caked on dirt and/or stains.
Garage tiles are easy to install. Installation of these floor tiles typically includes:
- Clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dirt, dust, grease, or other foreign material.
- When installing the hard plastic tiles, we recommend starting in the front left corner of the room and working your way out from there.
- Make sure the female side (loops) of the tile is facing away from the wall.
- After filling the left wall with tiles and the adjacent wall, proceed to fill the rest of the room with whole tiles.
- When you come up to a wall or object, don’t worry. Just measure the area and cut the tiles with a tile cutter or a power saw with a fine-toothed blade and put the trimmed tiles into place.
- When trimming the tiles into place, make sure you leave about a 3/4” space between the tiles and the wall or obstruction.
- Once the tiles are in place, you can then snap in the edge pieces, if you purchased them.
Expansion Joint Installation
Where to install the expansion joints will depend on how large your garage is. For one car and two car garages, placing the expansion joints in the middle of the floor will be good enough to take care of any buckling issues.
For three car garages, you will want to install the expansion joints in the middle of both the large bay door and the small one. This will help to ensure buckling doesn't transfer throughout the floor.
For large warehouse spaces that experience buckling, you will want to install the expansion joints in a perpendicular pattern in the middle of the floor. You will use our Expansion Intersection Joint to create this effect.
If you have edging at the entrance to your garage or warehouse, you will want to use our Expansion Joint Edges to fill in the space that will not be created when adding the expansion joints.
