AcoustiCORK R60 6 mm cork underlayment can be used under all flooring types, but has been specifically designed to be used under ceramic tiles and hardwood. This flooring underlayment gives the same sound proofing level as 2 mm thick rubber or 12 mm thick foam. Just like all cork underlayments, this underlayment is mold and mildew resistant and also has the ability to expand and contract with your flooring. Also like most cork underlayments, this will also need to be adhered with a polyurethane adhesive and be installed with a vapor barrier to protect your flooring surface. This underlayment is also designed to meet building codes and condominium association requirements when the floor and ceiling assembly system is a ceramic, natural wood or stone with a suspended ceiling.
Material - AcoustiCORK R60 underlayment is made from cork, which is harvested bark off of the cork tree. The bark of the tree grows back for over 200 years and can be stripped every 9 years, making this product truly eco-friendly.
