Luxury Vinyl tiles and planks are easy to keep clean and maintain. Maintenance of the floor typically includes:
  • Always use plywood or other boards when moving heavy objects across the floor to avoid scratching of the floor surface.
  • Use felt pads under chair and furniture legs to prevent scratching of the floor surface.
  • Place walk off door mats at all entrances and doorways to collect debris from shoes such as dirt, rocks, and moisture, from being tracked in and onto your new floors.
  • Avoid using rubber backed area rugs or floor mats as they can stain the flooring surface over time.
  • Use non-staining floor protectors underneath heavy furniture, chairs, and tables.
  • Daily or weekly vacuuming or dust mopping to remove dirt, grit, dust etc. Do not use treated dust mops.
  • When mopping, use a damp and never a wet mop.
  • Clean up spill immediately to prevent damage to the floor.

Installation is simple, and is commonly done by our customers. Installation of interlocking vinyl planks is as follows:
  • Complete any necessary floor prep.
  • Start with the tongue side facing the wall.
  • After the initial starter board, press the end seam of the second plank into the end seam of the first plank, and then lock them together by laying the plank down. Continue working left to right.
  • Install the first plank in the second row by inserting the tongue into the groove of the plank in the first row. This is best done with a low angle of the plank.
  • Insert the long side seam at a slight angle first. As the top surfaces meet, rotate the plank down into the locked position. Engage the end seam, using a rubber mallet if necessary.
  • Planks may be cut with a utility knife using the “score and snap” technique, or with the use of a crosscut power saw.
  • Continue installing planks removing any gaps using a tapping block and a scrap of flooring to cover the tapping block. Be careful not to damage In*Step tongue and groove.
  • Protect all exposed edges by installing wall moulding and/or transition strips. Make sure that no plank will be secured in any way to the subfloor.

Real wood visual and texture

  • Won't break the budget

Vidara planks are 7" wide by 48" long and come in a variety of beautiful wood looks. Whether your preferred style is more of a traditional with light colored oak or the rich and deep tones of walnut, Vidara vinyl plank flooring is sure to have the perfect option for your unique taste.

Why vinyl flooring?

  • Durable and reliable

Vinyl flooring is an excellent flooring choice for busy households with the pitter patter of little feet or furry friends. Vinyl is durable, easy to clean and maintain, giving you more time to enjoy wonderful moments with your family. Since vinyl plank floors are durable and build to withstand moderate foot traffic, we are sure you'll be happy with your floors for years to come.

Floors you’ll love to live with

  • Low maintenance

Vidara vinyl planks are naturally resistant to water, staining, and mildew growth. If muddy boots track in a mess, it is easier to clean up the mess than compared to other flooring would be (carpet - we are looking at you!).

Reliable Construction

  • No buyer’s remorse here

Vidara vinyl planks feature a 12mil wear layer, perfectly suitable for use anywhere in the home. The wear layer sort of acts as the body guard for the flooring, so it takes the brunt of each hit. The printed vinyl layer is the part that mimics the look of beautiful wood floors.

Can this be installed directly on concrete in a new game room?
Kevin Spitzer
Vidara planks can definitely be installed directly on a concrete subfloor. We recommend a moisture barrier between the concrete and the vinyl.
Are these vinyl laminate floors good for an inside/outside exposed porch? If not what is better
Vinyl planks are not approved for outdoor exposure. We recommend choosing an outdoor approved carpet tile or other outdoor flooring option.
Can this be installed over ceramic tile?
Kathryn L Cobb
For installation over ceramic tile, we recommend choosing a WPC or SPC vinyl. These are more rigid and will remain flatter over the ceramic.

New wood floors in our laundry room
Self-installed in Laundry room

We have been living in the same old house for 20 years now. I always liked my laundry room but once we got the new washer and dryer (front loading!!) I realized that the floors didn't match the new feeling with these beautiful new machines. With the help of my husband and a friend, we pulled everything out and I was able to put together the interlocking planks in an afternoon. It looks like a catalog and now I LOVE my laundry room!

  Rental flooring

We are renting in a very old home and recently had one of the worst monsoon storms we have had in a long time. Short story: window sills leaked and floors started to curl up in some spots from water damage. Just decided on a temporary covering since we don't own the place. Got this floor to cover up the waviness seen in the back of the house/bookshelf area & I also wanted to cover the horrible blue tile in our tiny kitchen and it actually looks cute now!
