Description – Get the ever so popular tread plate design in a tile that is not only durable but comfortable underfoot with our Diamond Flex Nitro Tiles. Available in several colors, this tile is the perfect floor for any garage or workshop floor. Easy to clean and maintain, these interlocking tiles feature a hidden interlocking design that will give your garage that high-end finished look you have always wanted. Great for commercial or residential use, a 15-year warranty backs our Diamond Flex Nitro Tiles.
Note: Flex tile colors are produced in batches, which can lead to color variations in your order. All colors may present some color variation, but black, dark gray, and light gray can produce the most. These three colors can vary greatly between batches and thus it is recommended that you order more flooring than is needed for mistakes and replacements. This, in, turn, gives you the greatest chance to keep continuity across your floor. Batching will also affect color variation between samples and your order with black, dark gray, and light gray showing the most variation.
Material – Flex tiles are constructed entirely of a proprietary blend of flexible PVC that guarantees the most durable garage tile on the market. This custom PVC blend also ensures that the tiles are flexible and have the anti-fatigue flooring qualities often associated with rubber flooring. But they also have the durability, long life, and chemical resistance associated with PVC tiles.
Size – 20.5" x 20.5"
Thickness – 0.177" (4.5mm)
Weight – 3.38 Lbs. per tile.
Recommended Uses – Diamond Flex Nitro Tiles are great for both commercial and residential use and are commonly used as flooring for garages, workshops, as basement flooring, as trailer flooring, as flooring in kitchens, as flooring for spare rooms, a trade show flooring, and much more.

These tread plate tiles are easy to clean and can be cleaned as often as needed.
  • Sweeping or vacuuming any loose crumbs, dust, or debris from the tiles.
  • Occasionally damp mop the garage tiles with a mild soap and water mixture. Some soaps commonly used include Dawn dish detergent and/or Tide laundry detergent.
  • Since each tile is coated with a protectant silicone sealant, the tiles may become scuffed or scratched during the installation process or while moving large objects. To help reduce the appearance of scratches or scuff marks, we recommend using Armstrong’s Shine Keeper.

Note: This is not a stain-proof product. Street tar can stain light-colored tiles and usually can be remedied with a cleaner called Purple Power. If you have performance tires, staining can occur with light-colored tiles. To get rid of tire marks, you might have to replace the affected tiles, or use darker tiles to disguise the stains. If the staining on your floor does not dissipate, please contact our dedicated Customer Service team at 800-613-0996 who can further assist you.

Installing these interlocking tiles is very simple and usually done by the consumer. Typical installation of these tiles is as follows:
  1. First, clean your subfloor so it is free of all dirt, grease, or debris.
  2. Snap a chalk line on the subfloor 20” from one wall in your room. Snap another chalk line on the subfloor 20” from an adjacent wall. You should now have a pair of perpendicular lines making an approximate 90-degree angle.
  3. Begin laying the interlocking tiles along the chalk lines, snapping the locks together as you go.
  4. Leave the other two edges of the room open until the middle is installed.
  5. After the rest of the room is covered, go back and cut in tiles along the opposite walls in the room. We recommend leaving a gap along the walls roughly the thickness of the tiles being used to account for expansion and contraction of the floor in varied temperature ranges.
  6. Note: When piecing interlocking tiles together, adhesives are usually not used since the weight of the product is enough to keep the floor tiles from moving. However, if you do experience movement and would like to ensure that the tiles do not slide at all, you can use some double-sided tape or mat tape around the perimeter of the installation to prevent any movement.

Don't see what you're looking for?
Will these tiles bunch up, shift or separate under the friction and weight of a steering tire? Should they be glued or attached with a high-quality double sided tape?
Our Diamond Flex Nitro Tiles interlock very tightly and will not separate under normal conditions. So if you have to turn your tire in your garage, the tiles typically will not move. In certain rare circumstances, these tiles may separate. In these instances, we would recommend using either double-sided tape or glue to keep the tiles in place.
Are these tiles smooth enough for easy sweeping and washing? How water tight are they?
Our Diamond Flex Nitro Tiles are very easy to clean and maintain. You can easily sweep, and large dirt and debris with a broom and can hose off the tiles with a water hose or mop them with a mild soap and water solution. These tiles are very watertight as they feature a hidden interlock system. This system is our most watertight interlocking system we offer.
Are these tiles easy to cut if you need to use smaller ones at the ends?
Our Diamond Flex Nitro Tiles are very easy to cut with a sharp utility knife and a straight edge.
How easy is it to separate these tiles if I move or want to change the design? Will they hold up through moving them to another garage?
You can easily install and uninstall our Diamond Flex Nitro Tiles. These tiles are meant to be a floating floor making this a straightforward process and will not damage the tiles in any way.
I have a 3 stall garage each stall is sloped to the middle where there is a floor drain. What floor tile works best? I also use a floor jack on my floor.
Our Diamond Flex Nitro Tiles would be a perfect flooring option for your garage. These tiles are very flexible which allows them to contour to the slope of your garage. They are also car jack safe, so you will be able to use your car jack on the flooring surface. These tiles are easy to cut as well; that way you can leave your drain exposed to allow any water to flow properly in your garage.
I have the Diamond Flex Nitro. My car tires leave a brown stain that I have not been able to get off with ordinary cleaners. Any suggestions?
Dallas Gedney
Certain types of tires will stain our Diamond Flex Nitro Tiles and our other soft PVC garage tiles and garage rolls. Typically the types of tires that cause this staining are soft, performance tires. These tires have plasticizers in them that react with the vinyl. These substances are used to create a softer tire that will better grip the road when taking faster turns. Since the formulas for most tires are trade secrets, we truly don't know which tires will cause this issue. The only way to fix this issue is for you to put black tiles in the area where your car will be parked. If you do run into this issue, please contact one of our Customer Success team members via phone, email, or chat, and they will be able to assist you further.
Reflooring a large band trailer with pitted plywood where tiles came loose. Will the nitro-tiles stay put as equipment is repeatedly moved in and out. What type of adhesive is required on the ramp to hold tiles there? Would a different product work better? Thanks.
You can install our Diamond Flex Nitro Tiles over a pitted plywood trailer. We would recommend using our Polyurethane or our 7700 Series.
Can you glue down the ramp?
You can glue down the ramp that goes with our Diamond Flex Nitro Tiles. We recommend using our 7700 Series adhesive or our Polyurethane adhesive. These will ensure a solid hold.
Can these tiles be glued down?
Yes, we would recommend using our 7700 adhesive.
If water seeps underneath these tiles will they become moldy.
The tiles themselves are mold and mildew resistant. Light moisture will typically evaporate due to the waffle back pattern but if you have a significant issue like flooding, you should pull up the tiles and allow your subfloor to dry properly.
I'm planning to install a 4 post storage car lift in my garage in the future. Will the Diamond Flex Nitro Tile be ok to be used on the floor?
While flex tiles are resilient and this would not break the tiles, they can be permanently dented by extreme heavy weight on the floor. You can cut the tiles to fit around the car lift posts.
Can they be used on a trailer floor? And what is the weight of a title?
Diamond Flex Nitro Tiles can be used on a trailer floor. Weight per tile is approximately 3.38 Lbs.
What product do you have to finish the edges that do not come up to a wall and what is available for the "run up" into the garage onto the tile.
Walt Schefter
Our Rubber Floor Ramps are available as a reducer for our Diamond Flex Nitro Tiles. Be sure to choose the 4-6mm Ramp.
How will these tiles hold up to an EV? I have a Tesla and change out my wheels often with my own jack.
Our flex tiles are car jack approved.
What is the weight capacity for these flexible tiles?
This garage tile has been weight tested using a vertical load of 11,000 lbs and afterwards had no visible structural damage.
Would a 12 inch tile cutter be better to use when trimming tiles than a utility knife?
These tiles are 20.5" x 20.5" and would not fit into a 12" cutter.
Will the diamond flex nitro tiles fit another nitro tile?
Our Diamond Flex Nitro tiles will interlock with our Coin Flex Nitro tiles and also our Smooth Flex Nitro tiles.
Are these mats anti-static?
Yes, PVC flooring is naturally anti-static.

I installed the tiles in my garage in the winter using grey, black and red (accent border) tiles. First thing I noticed was that the red tiles were slightly smaller than the others. By the time I got to the end of a 17' row the difference was about 1/8 of an inch. Not much, but pretty hard to snap these together when they don't line up. I actually had to bring the red tile inside my house to warm up and expand so I could complete the floor. Now, we recently had 1 ″warm″ day of 70 degrees and tiles are buckling due to expansion. The floor is floating, but I have a car, tool cart, cabinets, etc. on it. I did leave at least 1/2 inch gap along the edge, but with everything on the floor, it can't move that much. I am very afraid when we get into the summer to see how much buckling I get. This floor may have been a mistake. If the buckling doesn't get any worse in the hotter temps, I will revisit my rating, but I am not hopeful.

The tiles are very nice and look great. I think they will hold up very well. I installed these tiles with the floating floor method. No tape or glue. Tiles went together easy. I cut them with a table saw and fine tooth blade. Here is the problem. Once i finished installing the entire floor and moving everything back into the garage (worst part of this project), one sunny afternoon i opened the overhead door. The area of the floor that was in the path of the sunlight began to buckle. It buckled so much that the tile even came un-hooked from one another. Once i closed the door and let it sit overnight, the tiles went back down. The amount of expansion is terrible. It looks like i will have to un-install the entire floor and glue it down now. I wish the customer service rep would have told me this when i placed the order. Installing once would have been much better.

Well I ordered samples first, I'm so glad I did. As soon as I got thg them I knew I was going to use this flooring. This stuff is tuff and durable. I floated my floor first because it was a complete mess. The day the floor got to my house I felt like a kid at Christmas. I installed the floor by myself and it was the easiest installation I have ever done. This floor system is so easy to install. I told all my friends about it. I really have nothing negative to say about it. I had no problems installing it. And it looks amazing. Thanks again for the samples.
