Customer Questions

Don't see what you're looking for?
Are these tile approved for garage flooring? Not just the walking areas, but the entire garage floor.
Danelle
These tiles work great for a garage floor! They won't stain or friction burn like other products & are mold, mildew, stain, and moisture resistant.
Can these be applied to a raw, clean (new construction) plywood floor?
Ed Bourassa
Yes, that would be suitable.
What is the fire test rating on this product. It would be used for a church.
elizabeth
These carpet tiles have a Class 1 fire rating.
Can we install these tiles on concrete patio in north east where snow/ice is common? Not sure about durability and warranty?
Harry
These tiles are approved for installation outdoors in all weather.
Can these be laid without removing the backing and sticking them to the floor
Sandra Kelley
These carpet tiles cannot be loose laid. You can try and use a carpet tile or tile tab to keep the carpet tiles together, while also taping occasional spots to the floor to help mitigate movement.
Thickness of On Trend Carpet Tiles?
Lawrence William Haik
These tiles are approximately 1/4" thick.
If I applied these to my covered front porch landing, the edge of the carpet tile would be flush with where the steps are. Is there something I can put on that edge to avoid people tripping or kicking the edge up when they come up the stairs? (It's a thick concrete slab)
The tiles have a strong adhesive and should not come up easily with foot traffic.
Can you install these over existing tiles? Will the grout make a difference?
KB
You can, but you will likely experience telegraphing of the indentations in the tile pattern.
how badly will the carpet tiles twist or wrinkle when occasionally turning the wheels of a car when it is stationary?
Charlie Barnett
The carpet tiles have a strong adhesive and should not easily move within normal use/vehicles parked on the tiles. We do recommend steering clear (pun intended!) of excessive wheel turning as to keep the tiles in their best condition.
How would you apply on a small concrete step? Can they be molded to round the step?
Tom
You could attempt to round these over the step, or simply cut the tile to fit the step. Simply adhere with the peel and stick backing.
Thickness? Can or should I put down a pad? Which pad?
Lawrence William Haik
These tiles are approximately 1/4" thick. For best results, we recommend installing them directly to your clean and level subfloor, as traditional carpet padding can prevent the tiles from laying flat. If additional cushion is desired, a rubber underlayment can be effective and will not impact installation.
Are these carpet tiles anti-static?
John
These tiles have not undergone static testing at this time.
Can these tiles be laid outdoor on brushed concrete patio? Will they adhere to it and be ok in rain?
Kathryn Brown Perkins
These tiles adhere best on a smooth surface, but minimal texture should be fine. They do have a strong adhesive, but depending on how textured the concrete is, you may wish to supplement with additional adhesive such as carpet glue for extra durability. You may also experience telegraphing of a textured concrete surface through the carpet tiles.
Is there a rubber water-proof backing on these tiles? If not, what is the backing material?
Carey A Sakert
No, these tiles do not have a backing. They are peel and stick tiles. The true 'backing' is the adhesive.
Hello! Can these be used on a roof top deck?
Eric
Yes.
Will this carpet tile harm my composite deck? Asking for my dog that likes a little padding to lay on but our loose rugs blow away?
Jennifer Jones
No, this should be fine on a composite deck.
Are these mold resistant?
Celia
Yes, these are mold and mildew resistant.
Can these carpet tiles use on concrete surfaces
Suzette Marion Cameron
Yes they can, as long as it is clean and free of dirt or defects.
Can you glue these carpet tiles down?
Marcia
These carpet tiles come with an adhesive backing - no glue is required.
Can these floor tile be installed on a heated concrete garage floor (in floor heat)?
Ben
We do not recommend installing carpet tiles over in-floor heating systems. This is because carpet tiles have insulating properties that will weaken the heating capabilities of your in-floor heating system.
We're looking for a water tight seal. The tiles will be laid on a plywood base of a screened in porch. Can water get through the tiles or between the seams of the On Trend carpet tiles?
Pat
Yes, water will go through these tiles - these tiles are water permeable. You will want to treat the plywood with a waterproof sealant.
Are these breathable? Looking for a carpet which will allow water vapor to pass through from the basement concrete floor without being trapped underneath the carpet.
Yes - these tiles are water permeable, so water will pass through the tiles.
Can these tiles be put down with additional glue? They will be installed over plywood on a covered lanai porch in a salty coastal environment. Glue has a way of disintegrating in my location.
Ingrid
Certainly. You are welcome to reinforce these tiles with additional glue.
Are the tiles self adhesive.
Jean schneider
Yes, these tiles come with a peel and stick adhesive backing.
can I install these over a thin existing carpet
Dave
We don't recommend installing these over existing carpet - the adhesive backing would not be able to secure properly.
Will you be getting the color ivory again in these carpet tiles
Patricia
We will. They are currently out of stock through the vendor. But once they have them again, we will have them available for order.
Can they be used on a wooden deck
Steve
These can be used on a deck.
What grade is carpet tile, what is the count
