Our Coretec Plus 18" vinyl tiles are water resistant can handle water on them and over them. These vinyl tiles have actually been submerged in a pool for 6 months with no damage to them. They performed and looked just like they had just been taken out of the box.

Can I put an additional underlayment?

Adding any additional cushioning will void the warranty. If you have a wooden subfloor, you can add a layer of plywood to raise it up. Over concrete it gets a bit more complex, but it would need to be something rigid, like a layer of cement on top or a cement board.
Can this floor be installed over existing vinyl sheet goods
Douglas Forbes
COREtec products can be installed over over any subfloor so long as it's level and clean. Vinyl sheet would be no problem.
can this be installed over MDF subfloor? We want to install in our kitchen. Also our refrigerator is quite heavy will this floor hold up and should I buy something to put under the wheels of our refrigerator to make it move out more smoothly? If so, do you know of any type product for that?
Debbie
While it is unlike that the COREtec floor will dent under weight, we do recommend using felt furniture pads to protect your floors from damage often caused by scratching of furniture. Don't push or pull items across the floor. If possible, use an air sled or even a dolly to move heavy items. You can also place plywood sheets down first and move the object over the plywood sheets. It is recommended that you glue those down areas where heavy appliances will sit on top of the flooring. Please see installation PDF for further information.
