Do the high impact rolls provide any additional comfort over the standard roll product when you stand, kneel or lie down on the floor?

I have been told the rubber gives off an offensive chemical smell in small areas and can smell like sulfur or rotten eggs. Is this true with your product? I want this for my small gym at home.
Some rubber products do give off a sulfur smell but our 15mm Impact Rolls - Designer Series does not. The sulfur smell comes from the use of sulfur being used in the vulcanization process. Sulfur is not used in the making of these rolls. These rubber rolls are perfect for any home gym or commercial gym and come in several designer colors that are certain to make any gym pop.
What about the odor if Impact Rolls or tile are placed over a radiant heated floor?
Charles DeWitt
Our 15mm Impact Rolls - Designer Series rolls will have a slight rubber smell to them. Since these rubber rolls have an EPDM top layer (the color layer), the smell is greatly mitigated. The smell would not increase due to being installed over a radiant heated floor. The radiant heat will not melt the rubber, so it is totally safe to install our rubber flooring over a radiant heated floor. If you are sensitive to the smell of our rubber flooring, we recommend mopping the floor with a mild soap and water solution and then let it air dry. You will also want to make sure that the flooring is installed in a well-ventilated area. Since these rubber rolls are Floor Score certified, which is a designation meaning that it is low in VOCs, the smell shouldn't be too strong even for the most sensitive individuals.
Do we self install the roll, or is there someone you can recommend to us?

Can you install this over carpet?
Rick Smith
You can install our 15mm Impact Rolls - Designer Series easily over commercial carpet. Over plush, thick padded carpet, we recommend placing a 1/4" plywood board over the carpet first before installing the rubber rolls. This will prevent the flooring from depressing when the pad depressed creating a tripping hazard.
