Our Rainbow Play Mats come pre-packaged in a kit of 6 tiles that come in 6 different colors, so we would not be able to break each pack to give out just one color.

Can I use this for outdoors/backyard?

Our Rainbow Play Mats can be used outdoors in a backyard. These tiles are made of foam, so they may not hold up well in the elements, but they can be easily removed and replaced when damaged. The only issues that you may run into with them being outdoors are tile degradation and fading in direct sunlight.
Are these mats flame resistant and will they come with a paper explaining they are?

Our Rainbow Play Mats are flame resistant as are all of our foam products. We don't send any paperwork with our orders, but you can email one of our Flooring Heroes, and they can send you the spec sheet stating this.

Each tile in our Rainbow Play Mats comes with two removable edge pieces that can be kept on or removed. This allows you to turn any tile into a corner, border, or center tile.
I am considering this item instead of fiberfill/foam for a dog bed. Unfortunately, if an accident happens, it takes forever to air dry after I have hand washed with a hose. I saw where these were ok for outdoors. Does that mean they will not absorb water? And would be easily cleaned and towel dried?

Our Rainbow Play Mats are made from closed celled EVA foam so they will not absorb any urine or other liquids. They are very easy to clean and would dry very quickly. They can be used outdoors, but since they are foam, they may not stand up to the elements as well as some other products would. These tiles would give your dog a soft place to lay and would be much easier to maintain compared to fiberfill.
How many packs do one usually order to cover a regular-sized room?
The typical size of a standard room in a home is 12' x 12' or 10' x 12'. So for a 12' x 12' room, you would need at least 9 packs, and for a 10' x 12' room, you would need at least 7 packs to cover that space.
Can we use the tiles outdoors?

Our Rainbow Play Mats are made of foam and can be installed outside, but are not to withstand the elements. Over time these tiles will start to breakdown and fade from the sun's rays. Other than that, people have used them outdoors with great success.
