Can you place this mat over low shag carpet without damage to the carpet? Carpet is light-colored.

Our Bubble Mats are made from black rubber and would have the potential to mark or stain light-colored carpet. We recommend placing a plastic sheet under the mat to protect the carpet. The marking from the mat would not be permanent and can be easily cleaned with a carpet shampooer or with a mild soap and water solution.
