Can these tiles be used on top of carpeting?

You can use these on a low pile, tight carpet. These may be hard to use over a thick, plush carpet.
Hi, Are these tiles mold and water resistant? Are they fire proof? What is the warranty you give on these?

The tiles are mold and water resistant. They are not fire proof. 12 year manufacturer's warranty.
Is the texture the same on all of the different colors of tile?

The Slate Black has a bit of a texture to it but the other styles are more flat.
I am looking at using these in the lobby of our theatre. Will water/sodas leak between the tiles to the subfloor?

The locking system on these tiles are not tight enough to be liquid proof.
I am interested in creating a floor primarily for practicing dance. How stable/solid will the floor be if placed on top of a more plush carpet (soft surface) as opposed to a hard surface? I'm concerned about the squares flexing at their joints when danced on.

When installing over a plush carpet, our Modular Grid-Loc Tiles do have the potential to separate a bit. The best subfloor to put these tiles on is something solid and flat, but they can be installed over plush carpet.
Can these tiles be used on an outdoor deck exposed to rain?

These tiles are not recommended to be used outdoors in permanent installations. They can be used temporarily for events but they are primarily recommended for indoor use as they are not UV stable or long term weather resistant.
I am interested in purchasing these tiles in order to practice tap at my home. Is there a difference between the colors? Are they made of different substances, and which one is the least slippery?

Can this be used for swing dancing? (e.g. I'm hoping that the surface is NOT squishy.) Does the top part of the tile feel hard?

These tiles are not squishy, and are constructed with a dense hard plastic base for durability. They should work just fine for swing dancing.
Can these be used with your other tiles, such as the nitro diamonds?
These will not interlock with the nitro tiles.
Can these tiles be taken apart and put back together fairly regularly or does that weaken the lock? Or is the lock permanent?

The locking mechanism is not permanent, you can take the apart and put back together if you would like to.
I need a floor for my kitchen. Here's the catch, I am handicapped, but a wheel chair will not fit in my kitchen, so I use an old office chair with no back on it. The current floor in my kitchen is peel and stick tile over press board, so it is being torn apart from the wheels on the chair. I am also a large woman so the wheels do dig into the floor. Will your flooring systems stand up to the wear and tear.

My sample doesn't seem to have much give to it. Is there any way to make these more comfortable for standing on all day at a tradeshow?

To add extra comfort to our Moldular Grid-Loc Tiles we recommend using a rubber underlay under the tiles.
Can you use the 7/8" Tatami tiles and the modular grid - loc tiles (portable dance floor) together? Do they connect?

Can these tiles be cut? If yes, what tool do you recommend?

Are these slippery? We need them for Irish dance.

Our Modular Grid-Loc Tiles are not slippery. They do have a control slip to them to allow one to make proper moves for certain types of dance. These tiles would work perfectly for Irish Dance.
can carpet be installed over the tiles? I was thinking of stick-down rather than traditional stretched carpet. How about a floating laminate floor?
That would be an unusual application but as long as the floor is level it sounds like it would work.
will these withstand the weight of a slate pool table? I want to use them for a cellar floor that on rare occasions sees some very shallow water

The weight of a pool table would be fine over top of the Modular Grid Loc Tiles.

We do not cut them to size for you. However, you can cut the tiles with a tile cutter or a power saw with a fine-toothed blade.
Is this maple wood looking sport tile flooring recommended for Basketball court usage? Is the flooring slippery, or does it have good traction for basketball use (Indoor)?

You can use our Modular Grid-Loc Tiles as a basketball court indoors. These tiles are made from the same material as our Indoor Sports Tiles just with a vinyl top. Now the only thing that can happen with these tiles is that the vinyl top may come loose. If this happens, we recommend adding some more glue to the vinyl top to secure it further.

Yes, that would be fine provided that the floor is level.
Is there a black border between each 12" x 12" tile? Looking for flush fit, darker coler parquet with wood grain.

The tiles do have a black base and you will see a thin black line surrounding each tile's pattern.
what is the weight that this floor can handle? I want to use it for a trade show to assemble and put a 1500 unit on it to display

What is the difference between a female and male edge

The female edge has the loops while the male edge has the pegs.
For the 12 x 12 tiles do I need edging to hold them together I am liking for a 4 x 4 floor

The edging is not needed to hold the tiles together, they are held together on their own since they are interlock installed. Edging simply provides a clean edge and reduces tripping hazard.
Can these be placed over martial arts 2” judo mats? We don’t need them for dancing. We need them for placing chairs on them for sitting.

Will dance flooring scratch Tile and wood floors?

Yes we would recommend putting a protection layer between the dance tiles and your wood floor to reduce possibility for damage.
Does the dance floor come with everything you need to connect the tiles or do you have to buy them separate?
