Customer Questions

Don't see what you're looking for?
I like the thin size but am concerned that they might curl at the edges. Do I have a legitimate concern here? What is the benefit of the 8mm tile, longer warranty? Or why would it a better or worse choice?
Our 3/8" Sure Fit Rubber Tiles will not curl at the edges. That is the same with all of our rubber tiles. So there is no concern there with that. So why one would choose a 3/8" rubber over an 8mm rubber is due to what they are doing in the gym. If you are using some heavier weights, our 3/8" rubber products will perform better in the long run. When dropping weights, over time, the subfloor can get damaged due to the constant dropping of heavy weights. The thinner the rubber, the sooner this can happen. So if you are going to be dropping weights over 50 lbs on a consistent basis, we would suggest going with our 3/8" rubber tiles and rolls. If not, a thinner rubber is totally fine. The warranty for most of our rubber flooring is 5 years.
Can the tile be installed on a porch or will the sun affect it?
Daniel T Bodenschatz
Our 3/8" Sure Fit Rubber Tiles can be installed on a porch. Since our rubber tiles are not UV resistant, the only thing you will notice is that over time these rubber tiles will fade a bit. These tiles are very slip resistant and more slip-resistant when wet and are resistant to mold and mildew growth. They are also very easy to clean and maintain and are just as easy to install.
The ⅜" Sure Fit Rubber Tiles appear to come with no corner or edge pieces. Rather, they seem to come only as interlocking pieces or straight pieces. Is this correct?
Ross
Yes, our 3/8" Sure Fit Rubber Tiles don't come as corner or border tiles. To create a corner or border piece with our interlocking tiles, you would need to cut the tabs off the tiles to create them. For the straight-edged version, you can just cut the tiles in place to fit your room. Cutting our rubber tiles is very easy with a sharp utility knife and a straight edge.
Are these tiles stamped or waterjet cut?
JOHN DAMICO
Our 3/8" Sure Fit Rubber Tiles are waterjet cut tiles.
Are these safe to install over a marble floor? Will they slide or leave markings on the White Marble?
Our 3/8" Sure Fit Rubber Tiles are safe to install over a marble floor. They will not slide on the floor and leave marks. If you are concerned that the rubber will damage your marble floor, we recommend placing a plastic sheet under the tiles. The weight of the tiles on top of the plastic sheet will keep it in place ensuring no movement.
Is this rubber or foam?
Frank
Our 3/8" Sure Fit Rubber Tiles are made from recycled rubber from the treads of commercial truck tires.
Do these come with pieces to add to the edges to make straight edges?
Tim
Our 3/8" Sure Fit Rubber Tiles do not come with any removable edge pieces. To make corners and borders, you will need to cut the tiles with a sharp utility knife and a straight edge.
I want to put something on my garage floor. I've been searching out epoxy finishes and various other types of coatings and came across these. Are these tiles able to withstand being driven and parked on?
Mark
Our 3/8" Sure Fit Rubber Tiles can be used in a garage, but we don't recommend them to be driven regularly. Even though these rubber tiles interlock very tightly, they can come apart if you turn your wheel sharply when entering and exiting your garage. The only other thing you will have to be aware of is if oil were to sit on rubber flooring for an extended period of time, it would start to break the flooring down.
Thinking of using these for a garage gym. Would the tiles move if occasionally driven on?
Our 3/8" Sure Fit Rubber Tiles can be used in a garage, but we don't recommend them to be driven regularly. Can these rubber tiles be installed over low pile carpet?
Our 3/8" Sure Fit Rubber Tiles can be installed easily over low pile commercial carpet. If installing over a high pile or medium pile carpet with a thick pad, we recommend placing 1/4" plywood under the tiles. This will help to prevent a tripping hazard when the pad underneath the carpet depresses.
