Our 1/4" Pre Cut Tough Rubber Rolls can be installed outside. These rolls are made from recycled car tires and will be able to withstand the elements. In direct sunlight, the roll will fade a bit, but other than that, our Tough Rubber Rolls will work great outdoors.

Our 1/4" Pre Cut Tough Rubber Rolls are very easy to clean. For any large dirt and debris, you can use a broom or a brushless vacuum to remove it. For any stuck-on dirt and debris, we recommend mopping the flooring with a synthetic or sponge mop with a mild soap and water solution. You would then just let the floor air dry. For any small spills, you can use a paper towel or washrag to clean up the spill.

The R-value per inch for recycled rubber is 2.20.

Our 1/4" Pre Cut Tough Rubber Rolls are great as flooring in basements. Since these rolls are made from rubber, they are naturally mold and mildew resistant. If your basement were to flood, cleaning your rubber flooring is easy. First, we would recommend not gluing your flooring down as you will need to clean under the rubber flooring after the water has receded. You would then remove the rolls, clean them, and let them air dry. Once dry and the basement has been cleaned, you can then place your flooring back into your basement. No matter how long the water is sitting over the flooring, your rubber flooring will not be destroyed.

We do offer a custom cut version of our 1/4" Pre Cut Tough Rubber Rolls. The name of the product is called our 1/4" Tough Rubber Rolls. These rolls come 4' wide and can be cut to the closest whole foot. The minimum cut for the roll is located on the product page.

Our 1/4" Pre Cut Tough Rubber Rolls can be used in a dog kennel whether indoors or out. These rubber rolls are very easy to clean and maintain and are mold and mildew resistant. When being used in dog kennels and doggy daycares, we recommend sealing the floor with our Rubber Floor Finish and Sealer. This will help to fill in the small pores that are found in the floor. If you are installing multiple rolls together, we also recommend using our Seam Sealer glue to make the seams watertight.

You can install our Tough Rubber Rolls in a garage and park a car over them. The weight of the car will not damage them, and driving over them will not either. The only thing that will affect the floor is oil. So if your car were to leak oil, over time, the floor would start to breakdown where the oil hits it. If your car does leak, we recommend placing one of our Nitro Rolls or AutoFloorGuard's containment mats over the roll. Our rubber flooring is very pliable and will work just fine over uneven surfaces. If there are any large peaks or valleys, there is potential for damage to the roll. With those, we would recommend using a leveling compound on the floor.

Our 1/4" Pre Cut Tough Rubber Rolls are made from recycled commercial truck tire tread. If your tires can handle the heat, our flooring will too. Our rubber flooring has been installed all over the US and Canada in some of the most extreme conditions. Our rubber flooring will not crack or warp due to the conditions. Now, that doesn't mean our rubber flooring won't expand and contract. All flooring, to an extent, will do this as these materials have a basis in natural products. So, if there are major temperature changes, there will be some expansion and contraction of your floor. You can install these as a protectant over your synthetic ice without our rubber flooring damaging it. If you are concerned that the flooring may leave marks, we recommend placing a plastic sheet between the existing surface and our rubber flooring. This sheet will ensure that no staining will occur.

Our 1/4" Pre Cut Tough Rubber Rolls and all of our rubber flooring is very slip-resistant and even more so when wet. Rubber flooring is one of the most slip-resistant surfaces and is perfect for any areas where water may be present.

You can install our 1/4" Pre-Cut Tough Rubber Rolls over compacted gravel. If you are concerned the seams may separate for any reason, you could try and place our double-sided tape under the rolls. You would just remove the protective paper on one side of the tape. Our rubber rolls only come 4' wide. The best option would be to purchase 5 rolls 30' long to reduce the number of seams.
