Customer Questions

Don't see what you're looking for?
Would this be a good option for our dance studio floor for tap dancing ?
Bridget
This product is great for tap. The hard plastic composition allows you to hear the tap noise.
Can you put marley over these tiles? We need something safe and economical for tap dancing.
Lisa
You can actually use these tiles with or without Marley.
Can this flooring be used for pointe work?
Shelly
Yes it can
Can you put this on top of an area rug that is 8x10? Will the edges scratch a hard wood floor? Can you jump on these tiles with a soft landing?
Pauline Brann
You can place these over an area rug to protect your hardwood floor. The tile is constructed of hard plastic, so if you'd like to add a little softness you may consider using one of our foam subfloor tiles with the hard tiles.
Will this tend to move or flex on top of wall-to-wall, lower pile carpet?
Robyn A.
The larger the dance tile surface, the less likely it will move. More weight of the tiles will keep it in place.
Can this flooring be placed over residential carpet?
Dance tiles work best over flat and dense surfaces. If your carpet is high pile, you may put down plywood sheet between the carpet and the tiles.
Would these tiles be good for doing turns on?
Yes.
Looking to install a dance floor in our garage (concrete). She will be using the floor for tap, but also for hip hop, jazz, contemporary, etc. Do these tiles require subflooring?
Megan
It's not necessary but we would recommend a subfloor to provide some cushion between the concrete and the hard plastic tile for her joints.
Can I install Premium Flat Top Dance Tiles just over our hardwood floors (plywood on the beams)?
Olga
You can install our Premium Flat Top Dance Tiles over a hardwood floor. Due to these being plastic, we recommend placing a plastic sheet or some of our subfloor tiles under the tiles to protect the hardwood underneath from scratches.
Would these tiles and the foam subfloor work for Irish Dance?
Yes, our Premium Flat Top Dance Tiles with our foam subfloor can be used for Irish dance.
