Soft Flex Tiles are easy to install. Installation of these floor tiles typically includes:
  • Clean your sub floor so that it is free of all dirt, dust, grease, or other foreign material.

  • Make sure the female side (loops) of the tile is facing away from the wall.
  • After filling the left wall with tiles and the adjacent wall, proceed to fill the rest of the room with whole tiles.
  • When you come up to a wall or object, don’t worry. Just measure the area and cut the tiles with a sharp utility knife and put the trimmed tiles into place.

Easy to cut and install
5/5 Soft Flex Tiles

Once you get the hang of the interlocking nature of the tiles, they go together well. I was able to customize the size inside a shower by cutting with tin snips They feel comfortable under foot.. I'm thinking I'll pull them up and toss them in the dishwasher from time to time.

Solution to a sloped basement floor
5/5 Soft Flex Tiles
Anonymous from Minnesota
This is the only product I was able to find that would provide coverage of the sloped and slightly funneled floor drain in our basement, which is inconveniently located in the middle of the basement. The goal was to provide a route for periodic, minor water flow under an area of carpet to the drain. I think these tiles will provide ample elevation to allow water flow under the carpet, and these were flexible enough to fit the contour of the funneled cement around the floor drain. They did seem a bit expensive compared to other products, but I didn't need to cover the whole basement floor, thankfully...just the area where water has flowed in the past.

Not Up To Quality I expected
3/5 Soft Flex Tiles
Steve Plaisance from Boynton Beach Florida
I ordered the Soft Flex tiles to put down in an outside patio area about 50sf and on into an outside washroom about another 50sf. There is also an outside shower there. The tiles are put down over a concrete slab. A good part of the outside patio is in direct sunlight. These tiles are not suitable for direct sunlight. They get very soft and squishy and the cracks open up where the tiles attach to each other. The tiles do work just fine inside and outside where they are not in direct sunlight. But these tiles have another problem. They do not fit together very well at all. There is a small gap in the middle of every tile edge where two tiles connect to each other. This gap is about 3" long and anywhere from 1/16 to 1/8 inch wide. No matter what I have tried you cannot get rid of this gap. You can actually see this gap showing on the 4th picture of the Soft Flex Tile web page where two tiles are stuck together. It is very evident. If you can live with this, these tiles seem sturdy and very comfortable to walk on in bare feet. They snap together by hand easily, you do not need a rubber mallet.
