Does the mega rubber roll flooring absorb water or is it impermeable? I want to use it outside to cover an area where rain will fall on the surface.

Our 1/2" Mega Rubber Rolls will not allow water to flow through the flooring. These rolls are semi-permeable, and all liquids will pool on the flooring surface. There are some pores in the floor, so liquid can get in these pores, but the pores do not go through the floor, so when any liquid drys, any solids that were in the liquid can get caught in the floor. This will show as a whitening of the floor. There is no easy way to get rid of these solids, so we recommend using our floor finish and sealer to keep your rubber looking like new longer.
