I will be using this glue to affix 15mm impact rolls to concrete. The concrete is new. Based on the product instructions, I'm not clear: should the concrete be sealed prior to applying the glue or not? Once the rubber floor is down, I need to be sure that the concrete is impermeable in case an animal accidentally pees on the floor... I can't have the concrete soaking that up.
You do not have to seal the concrete to use our 7700 Series adhesive. To ensure that your concrete is totally impervious to liquids, we would recommend sealing the concrete. Even though the glue will prevent most liquids from going through or coming up, if there were a gap in the glue when applying it, there would be potential for liquids to get through. What you could also do is seal your rubber flooring with our Rubber Floor Finish and Sealer which will fill in the small pores in the floor. Between the rolls, we would recommend using our Seam Sealer glue. This will help to create a watertight flooring surface.
