We want to use your 1/2" Mega Rubber rolls for a kids "wet" area with sprinklers and using a ground level deck to allow for drainage. What is the best installation method over wood decking? Would you recommend anything between the wood (treated) and rubber flooring? Lastly, any issues with a midwest climate?
Our Mega Rubber Rolls would work perfectly as flooring for a wet area where kids will be playing and running through sprinklers. Rubber is very slip resistant and when wet, is even more slip resistant. These rolls would be very easy to install over a wood deck to allow for drainage. You would be able to install the rolls without any glue or tape, but if there were some movement, you could use double sided tape or our polyurethane adhesive. Since all of our rubber rolls are made from recycled tires, they are durable enough to handle any weather so that these rolls will perform just fine in the coldest of winters to the hottest of summers. Another great aspect of rubber flooring is that its mold and mildew resistant and is very easy to clean and maintain. The only thing you will notice with having our rubber rolls outdoors is that there will be some fading over time with the rolls.
