Is this suitable for a installing a squat rack inside a living room with laminated flooring? I don't plan to do (or drop) weights, mostly for for pull-up type exercise (i.e. static) or attaching resistance bands to it. So it has to to be quite stable. The total weight of the rack plus myself would be about 300 lbs on a 6 ft x 6 ft footprint.
We don't recommend installing a squat rack over our 5/8" Premium Soft Wood Tiles. Since these tiles are made from foam, they would be damaged by the weight of the rack and will not provide you with the solid footing that is necessary for performing squats safely. If you want that wood look, we recommend going with our Impact Rolls - Wood Series or Ecore at Home's Forest RX rolls.
