When cutting your Diamond Nitro Roll to fit my garage floor, do I need to leave any space between the product and the walls for expansion? A number of other products I've researched require this due to the heat of the day(especially here in Florida) making their mats expand. Also, do you recommend keeping the entire mat INSIDE the garage, or can it be cut to cover the 6" of the floor that extends outside the garage door, where it will be exposed to direct sunlight, rain, and wind?
We do recommend leaving an expansion gap around our Diamond Nitro Rolls. We recommend at least leaving a 1/4" wide expansion gap around the floor. This will allow the floor to expand and contract during the day. You can leave some of your nitro rolls outside of your garage, but we typically recommend keeping the roll inside of the garage for an easier install and overall better look.
