I am considering combining a couple of rolls to make an area rug/mat (approx 8' x 14') to place over medium-pile carpet. This would be used to place exercise equipment and for low impact exercise. Would the mats stay together and in place over the carpet or does it need to be installed wall to wall? Anything else I should be considering for this purpose?
