I have multiple questions. When we installed other rubber floors in the past, you had to cut the material and let it relax for a certain period. Do you need to do that with this material? Do you need the product to acclimate for a certain period? When using the double-sided tape install method, do you need to roll the material? In the past, we would normally overlap the material by 1/8" and tuck the seams together, so there is no gap. Do we need to do this with this material?
With our 1/4" Tough Rubber Rolls and all of our flooring, we recommend allowing the flooring to acclimate. This acclimation would entail placing the flooring in the space where it will be installed unrolled for at least 24 - 48 hours. If installing our rubber rolls with double-sided tape, you would place the double-sided tape on the ends, the edge of the floor, and at the seams. The best way to do this is to install double-sided tape to the ends and outside edges. We recommend marking where the rolls would come together for the seams, placing the double-sided tape down, and then rolling the rolls over it. To get the best seams, you will want to overlap them and cut them. You will want to do it with any rolled material, as there is some variance with the width of the rolls.
