Two questions: 1. If we wanted to put chairs on it for use at times, does that ruin the putting surface or will the turf recover? 2. If this were to be installed on a brick patio, would we need to do anything special to install it to make sure the surface is even?

Yes, you can put chairs on the turf, as long as you don't drag sharp edges along while placing them. Think of it like you're placing furniture over carpet. The turf will recover and won't ruin the putting surface. Before installing these on the brick patio, we recommend using our Play Pad 8, Play Pad 8 & Lawn Pads as an underlayment to even the surface out. These pads will also provide cushion to your turf and are also great at drainage.
