First, do the 3/4-inch Premium Extreme Mats offer all the protection of stall mats? Second, do they have a strong rubber odor (which seems to be a problem for stall mats)?

Our 3/4" Interlocking Premium Extreme Mats offer better protection compared to standard stall mats due to these interlocking mats being vulcanized. Vulcanized is just a fancy way of saying the product is more dense than a standard stall mat offering better protection for your subfloor. These mats do have an odor to them, so if you are sensitive to odors, we recommend mopping the rubber mats with a mild soap and water solution with a synthetic mop head. You will also want to make sure there is plenty of ventilation in the area where these will be installed so they can properly vent and dry. To truly get rid of the smell, you may have to repeat this a few times.
